Co-owned by Lisa Marshall and her son Jesse, Lakeside Ink began its journey in 2018 as a home-based tattoo studio. With a strong passion for both tattooing and art, we quickly gained recognition among friends and family, leading us to expand our services to a wider audience in 2019. Through word-of-mouth referrals, our business flourished, and we realized the need to establish a dedicated commercial location.
Inspired by the allure of downtown Barrie, we discovered the perfect space at 39 Dunlop St. E. During an art exhibition, we were captivated by the vibrant energy and artistic ambiance that this location offered. It was here that we envisioned creating a tattoo studio unlike any other – a sanctuary of creativity and relaxation. Step into our studio, and you’ll be greeted by a bright, colorful space that defies conventional expectations. Gone are the stereotypical motifs of skulls and blood-red walls. Instead, we’ve crafted an upscale environment that mirrors a spa-like retreat. Our goal is to make you feel as though you’re getting your nails done, rather than undergoing a tattoo session.
Beyond tattooing, our passion for art extends into the realm of abstract fluid art. Lisa Marshall, a skilled tattoo artist and fluid art specialist, not only creates stunning tattoos but also teaches art classes. Embracing the true spirit of artistic expression, Lakeside Ink is more than a tattoo studio; it’s a hub for creativity and inspiration. Since opening our doors in October 2021, we have become a well-known presence within the Barrie community. Our commitment to delivering exceptional tattoo experiences, combined with a focus on customer satisfaction, has allowed us to grow rapidly. As a result, we have expanded our team, bringing together talented artists who share our vision of artistic excellence.
